The Trial of Icerax - Player Guide

Queen Apisara has asked Icerax, the legendary bone dragon of the frozen tundra, to test Beekeepers. Icerax guards the portal to Cocarro, and Beekeepers must defeat him in battle to access the portal.

Entry Requirements

  • Must be Honey Bags weekly Tier 3 or higher

  • Must be Player XP Level 10 or above

  • Set up your initial raid team before 00:00 UTC on Friday

  • No registrations accepted on Sundays (maintenance day)

Cost

  • Participating in trials is free until you obtain a Portal Stone

  • After obtaining a Portal Stone, if you want to compete in future trials the cost is 200 HXD per trial

Your Team

  • Bee stats that affect the trial outcome: Attack and Luck

  • Normal and Special Attacks are not active during the trial

  • Maximum number of active Bees based on Player XP Level (up to 12 Bees)

  • Bees in the trial can be used in other parts of the game

  • Deactivating (unstaking) a Bee removes it from the trial

  • Your active Universe 1 Queen will be the trial's team leader

  • Newly Hatched or Bred Queens and Bees can be used immediately

  • Newly purchased Queen Bees have a 24-hour cooldown

  • Newly purchased or traded male Bees have a 72-hour cooldown

Attack Stat Boosts

Each Bee's damage to Icerax is based on its attack power (the total boosted Attack stat times a random number between 0.9 and 1.1)

  • Queen Mood Boost: Match Queen's mood to Bees' moods

  • Bee Mood Boost: Match a Bee's mood with other Bees on the mission

  • Dislike Boost: Match a Bee's dislike(s) with Queen's dislike

  • Weekly Honey Bag tiers 4-10 receive an Attack stat boost

  • Pass Holder status boost (Gold, Rose Gold, Platinum, Diamond) highest pass counts

Note: Deactivating a Bee removes its Mood and Dislike boosts. Deactivating a Pass removes the Pass Holder boost. 

The Trial

Icerax's starting Health: 300,000,000

  • There will be 48 turns (one per hour) unless Icerax is defeated earlier

  • Bees attack first, decreasing Icerax's Health

  • Bees damage Icerax based on their boosted Attack stat

  • Icerax responds after each Bee attack

  • Bees can be knocked out based on their Luck stat

  • Replace knocked-out Bees with others from your Hive (not automatic)

  • Knocked-out Bees can't rejoin but can still go on other missions

Results

If Icerax is defeated:

  • Top 30% of players without a Cocarro Portal Stone who dealt over 20,000 damage receive: 

    • The Queen's approval to access Cocarro

    • a Cocarro Portal Stone (Cocarro Pass)

    • 300 Cocarro Crystals

If Icerax wins:

  • Top 15% of players without a Cocarro Portal Stone who dealt over 20,000 damage receive:

    • The Queen's approval to access Cocarro

    • a Cocarro Portal Stone (Cocarro Pass)

    • 300 Cocarro Crystals

Note: Players who don't gain approval can try again in the next trial.

Rewards

Must deal over 20,000 damage to qualify:

  • Rank 1: Gold Dragon Badge and 50 Rainbow Tickets

  • Rank 2: Silver Dragon Badge and 20 Rainbow Tickets

  • Rank 3: Bronze Dragon Badge and 10 Rainbow Tickets

  • Ranks 4-10: Honey Dragon Badge and 50 Gold Tickets

  • Ranks 11-50: 50 Silver Tickets

Multiple Battles

Players can battle Icerax multiple times, even after receiving a Cocarro Portal Stone:

  • Rank 1-10 prizes can be won multiple times

  • Bees used in a trial where the player ranked 1-10 can't be used in future trials by that player
