Earth Lands can be purchased by visiting the in-game shop. They can also be won in raffles.
Land ownership benefits:
- Land ownership is a passive way to earn HXD - when Bees Hunt or Harvest on a Land you own, they pay you Hunting entry fees and Harvesting commissions
- Landowners can Harvest and Hunt on their own Lands, regardless of their Bees Endurance stats*
- Landowners receive weekly shard airdrops for each Land they own - shard amount is determined by the Land’s level (further details below)
- Landowners can use Mint Spray to clear away Poison Bombs placed by other players
- Landowners can use Mint Spray to clear away Cursed Honey Drops placed by other players
- STRATEGY: Landowners can use Mythic Mint Spray to clear Mythic Cursed Honey Drops placed by other players - this is a powerful advantage when an Extreme Climate Land is producing a highly desirable shard
*EXCEPTION: Training Bees' reach is limited by the player's XP level (maximum reach is Zone 5) even when doing missions on owned Land.
Purchasing Land:
Here are some things to consider when purchasing Land.
High Zone Lands
- Lands in higher Zones can only be reached by Genesis Bees or by Bees with high Endurance stats - since fewer Bees can reach those Lands, you may have less competition when sending your Bees to those Lands
- Lands in higher Zones have shorter Drop Times so they produce more Honeypots
- Lands in higher Zones produce more HXD per hour making them more attractive for Harvesting
Low Zone Lands
Lands in low Zones can be reached by most Bees and typically have more Bees Hunting and Harvesting on them (and paying entry fees and commissions)
Climate
Each Land has a Normal or Extreme climate. Lands with Extreme climates produce Honeypots with a single shard type that changes daily. When an Extreme Climate Land is producing rare shards, it can result in a lot of Bees Hunting (and a lot of entry fees for the Landowner).
Location
- Bees receive a stat boost when their Landform Speciality matches the Landform of the Land
- As an example, if you have a lot of Seaside Bees, you may want to purchase Seaside Lands to secure that boost for your Bees
- Your Lands don't need to be close to each other, purchase the Land that appeals to you!
Level
The level of Land is based on how long it has been activated (staked). The longer a Land is activated, the higher its level. The Land's level determines the maximum fee that a Landowner can charge as well as the rewards the Landowner receives.
Level | Level-up requirement | Maximum Harvesting commission that can be charged | Maximum Hunting entry fee that can be charged | Weekly shard airdrop |
1 | - | 4.0% | 0.4 HXD | 20 |
2 | Level 1 + 30 consecutive days activation | 5.5% | 0.55 HXD | 40 |
3 | Level 2 + 60 consecutive days activation | 7.0% | 0.7 HXD | 60 |
4 | Level 3 + 90 consecutive days activation | 8.5% | 0.85 HXD | 100 |
5 | Level 4 + 150 consecutive days activation | 10% | 1.0 HXD | 150 |
Landowners MUST activate (stake) their lands in order to receive commissions and fees when Bees visit their Lands. Lands must also be activated to be included in the results displayed when players deploy Sonar Buzz. Activation can be done inside the game or by visiting HiveMind.
Shard airdrops:
If your Land has been activated (staked) from Thursday at 11:59 UTC through 00:00 UTC on the following Friday, you will receive a weekly shard airdrop
- The number of shards you receive in each airdrop depends on the Level of your Land (see table above)
- The airdrop happens each Saturday
Airdrops include
- Mint Spray, Paradise Maker, Lantern, stat Upgrades, and Mood Stabilizer
- There is also a chance of receiving Royal Jelly, Queen Egg shards, and Bee Egg shards
Commissions and Fees:
To earn commissions and entry fees from Bees Harvesting and Hunting on your Land, you need to activate (stake) your Land. Inactive Land will contribute to the Honeyland treasury instead.
All Harvesting Commissions and Hunting Fees are distributed in one lump-sum amount at approximately 5:00 UTC the day after they are earned. This includes reimbursement for fees and commissions paid when Hunting and Harvesting their own lands. Landowners claim the HXD via in-game rewards.
Staking Land:
Visit the staking screen from the main menu inside the game or use our companion website, HiveMind.
