Queens and Bees - Overview
Generations
There are five different generations of Queens and male Bees:
- Genesis - The rarest Queens and Bees, they cannot be created through game play - they can be Hatched from existing Eggs or purchased from other players
- Gen 1 - Can be created by Breeding using a Genesis male Bee or by Hatching Gen 1 Eggs
- Gen 2 - Can be created by Breeding using a Gen 1 male Bee or by Hatching Gen 2 Eggs
- Gen 3 - Can be created by Breeding using a Gen 2 or 3 male Bee or by Hatching Gen 3 Eggs
- Training - provided to new players when they open their Honeyland account, additional Training Bees can be Hatched or Bred
Note: Queens, Bees, and Eggs are frequently included as prizes in the in-game raffles
Generation Identification
The Generation, Landform Specialty, and number of times a Bee has been upgraded can easily be determined by the Bee's badge (as shown below).
- The shape of the badge indicates the Bee's generation
- The number is how many times the Bee has been upgraded
- The color of the badge indicates the Landform Specialty
Home Universe Identification
You can easily determine the home universe of a Queen or Bee by the background color.
- Earth Queens and Bees have a blue background
- Cocarro Queens and Bees have a pink background
Queen Bees
Earth Queens
Based on her Generation and Level, your Active Queen (she can be seen in your Hive) provides mission boosts and cooldown reductions for Bees on Earth missions. See the Mission Boosts on Earth Player Guide for details.
She also provides cooldown reduction for your Queens who are leading missions on Cocarro.
Cocarro Queens
You will need a separate Queen for each Siege and/or Explore mission on Cocarro.
- Siege missions require a Cocarro Queen
- You can use Gen 1 Earth Queens for some Cocarro Explore missions - they will have a 50% stat reduction
- Eligible Earth Queens will show up on the Explore mission Queen selection window
Genesis Queens
Genesis Queens are the rarest type of Queen in Honeyland.
- They can travel to any Universe with no stat reduction
- They also provide the largest mission boosts and the best cooldown reduction
- Their assigned universe is determined by the universe where they were Hatched
Ancient Queens
- Ancient Queens can go on any Explore mission - access is not based on her Health stat
- Ancient Queens offer a boost on Siege missions
- If Ancient Queen has None Landform or the same Landform as the Land, she will provide a Landform boost for all Bees on Siege missions
- Ancient Queens have an advantage when Breeding - she passes 30% more base stats to her offspring compared to a normal Queen
Queen Features by Generation
Queen Generation | Cool Down Reduction* | Number of Breeds | Mood Match Boost Range** |
Genesis | 25% | Unlimited | 25-50% |
Gen 1 | 15% | 18 times | 20-40% |
Gen 2 | 8% | 12 times | 15-30% |
Gen 3 | 0% | 6 times | 10-20% |
Training | 0% | Unlimited | 5-10% |
*Cooldown reduction is a flat % reduction (based on the generation of the Queen) to the number of recovery minutes and is based on the Bee's own recovery stat - the Queen's level isn't a factor
Cooldown reduction example: A Bee with 191 recovery stat = 120 minutes of recovery time
A Genesis Queen reduces that by 30 minutes (25% of 120) to a recovery time of 90 minutes. Shorter recovery time means that Bee can be sent on another mission sooner.
**Range of stat boost your Bee will receive when its mood matches your Queen's mood
Exact boost is determined by the generation and level of your active Queen
Male Bees
Each player will have a colony of male Bees that can be sent on Earth Harvesting missions to bring back Honey and Earth Hunting missions to bring back Honeypots (filled with shards) which allow you to progress in the game. They can also participate in Player vs. Player (PvP), Quests, and other activities on Earth. On Cocarro, they can go on Explore and Siege missions.

How many Genesis Queens and Bees are there?
There are 1,000 Genesis Queens and 10,000 Genesis Bees in the overall collection.
We released 500 Genesis Queen Eggs and 5000 male Genesis Bee Eggs during our first mint.
Our June 2024 mint included 150 Queen Genesis Bee Eggs and 1350 male Genesis Bee Eggs.
That leaves 350 Genesis Queen Eggs and 3650 male Genesis Bee Eggs that COULD be released in the future. There's no guarantee they will ever be minted.
